Hanmer Horse Trekking. Hanmer Horse Trekking takes beginner and advanced riders on guided rides through forest, farmland, and native bush. Be prepared for river crossings and spectacular views. Rides last from 1 to 2½ hours, prices range from $49 to $99. The 1-hour ride is suitable for kids 5 years and older, and the 2 ½-hour ride for kids 12 years and older.
