Orana Wildlife Park

Orana Wildlife Park Review

Orana Wildlife Park is New Zealand's only open range zoo and is the place to come to glimpse endangered animals, both native (kiwi and tuatara) and exotic (tigers, wild dogs, cheetah, and zebras). You can also hand-feed the giraffes, get close to a rhino, or join a Lion Encounter. A zebra-striped Safari Shuttle loops around the park with commentary, and there are guided walks twice a day and scheduled feed times. It's about a 10-minute drive from Christchurch airport, or you can catch the Orana Wildlife Park shuttle (call 03 379-1699).
