Governors Bay Hotel

Governors Bay Hotel Review

First granted a license in 1870, this historic old pub makes a great, casual lunch stop if you're doing a round trip from Christchurch through Lyttelton and back. Perched on a hill overlooking Lyttelton Harbour, it offers good Kiwi hospitality in an unembellished place, with an open fire in winter and a sunny veranda in summer. Their Kiwi Burger is a substantial pub lunch with all the usuals and a big beef patty.
