Merivale Review
With the central city closed, Merivale, north of the city center on Papanui Rd, has become one of the city's few shopping hubs. Merivale Mall, has a range of classier boutiques and stores—try Quinns for womens' clothing and Bella Silver for jewelry; Rouche features home-grown New Zealand designs, and fashion store Storm has relocated from High Street. Vincent has lots of colourful, fun fashion gear and you might find something handy for the kitchen at the Home Store. Little India does a good lunch. Outside on Papanui Rd. and surrounding streets the design stores and restaurants continue.
