The Sebel Trinity Wharf Review

Perched over the edge of Tauranga Harbor, this is probably one of the top end hotels in the Bay of Plenty. Three stories high and built across three piers, the best of the rooms curve around the water's edge and look out into the harbor. Rooms are spacious and simply designed; local artwork catches the red of the pohutukawa trees that flank the hotel. All of the bathrooms have bathtubs (unusual in this region) along with heated floors. The hotel's reasonably priced restaurant, Halo ($$$), is frequented by locals and guests alike for meals or cocktails. On Friday nights a pianist turns out jazz numbers on the grand piano in the lobby. Staff are friendly and unpretentious.
