Tay Street Beach Cafe Review
The tables out on the patio across the road from the dunes of Maunganui Beach are the place to be when the weather's right; otherwise, head inside to the cool, grey, vinyl bench seats. Tay Street's menu serves a range of dishes, from old favorites like eggs Benedict or fish-and-chips, to seared ahi tuna with Asian salad and a ginger-soy dressing. They charge city prices for the coffee at $4 a cup, but that hasn't stopped the place from filling up every weekend for the all-day brunch.
