The Fat Dog Café and Bar Review

The eclectic style and fine food attracts young, old, and everyone in between. A line of paw prints trails along the maroon ceiling. Poetry of somewhat dubious merit also winds along the walls, is painted on the chair backs, and even circles the extremities of plates. On the psychedelic blackboard menu look for the smoked salmon salad or gourmet fish and wedges. For dessert try the raspberry and chocolate steam pudding or feijoa and apple crumble.

    Fun for All

We spent several enjoyable hours in the Fat Dog while in Rotorua. The food was quite exceptional as was the service. I highly recommend this wonderfully eclectic eatery/pub. The poetry adorning the walls, and just about everything else, was fun. Anyone visiting the area should not miss a sampling of the local beers, wines and cuisine as offered at the Fat Dog.
