Macfarlanes Cafe

Macfarlanes Cafe Review

This lively place energizes the café scene in Inglewood, a town midway between New Plymouth and Stratford. It's the original outlet of the Macfarlanes Group, which operates several espresso bars, Arborio Cafe at Puke Ariki, the Ozone coffee roastery in New Plymouth. The famous eggs Benedict, on crispy homemade hash browns (calorie-counters might want to request the hollandaise sauce on the side) draws people from far and wide to the all-day breakfast (from 9 am). Lunches highlight fresh salads and pastas. The evening dinner menu is seasonal, New Zealand-inflected international cuisine. Unusual main courses such as Trio of Wild Boar and Cornish and Kranskey sausages, sit alongside a standard menu of steaks, curries, salads, fish-and-chips, and more.
