Kororipo Pa Review

Across the road from the Kerikeri Basin's Stone Store is a path leading to the historic site of Kororipo Pa, the fortified headquarters of chief Hongi Hika. Untrained eyes may have difficulty figuring out exactly where the pa (Maori fortification) was, as no structures are left. The pa was built on a steep-sided promontory between the Kerikeri River and the Wairoa Stream. There's still a fine view over both.
