Te Pa Helios Review

With views across the sea and a charming host this cliff-top establishment evokes Greece with its angular whitewashed buildings. An old Maori pa (hilltop fortification) site and a small bay frame a view of islands dotting the clear blue sea. All the rooms have access to kitchens and are stocked with good basic provisions. In the main villa are the Island Suite, with a balcony on the cliff edge, and the spacious Russell Room, with a small terrace also set on the cliff. The self-catering Little Villa has two bedrooms and two bathrooms. All bedrooms look out onto the ocean. Local art hangs in most of the rooms. Paths lead to the two beaches at the base of the cliff, where there is a three-bedroom bungalow in which you can stay. There is a two-night minimum.
