Lisburn House Review

This Victorian-Gothic inn is a romantic retreat amid lovingly tended gardens. Many of its 1865 details are intact, including decorative Irish brickwork and fishtail slate roof tiles. Inside are high, molded plaster ceilings, an impressive turn-of-the-20th-century stained-glass entrance, and a welcoming fireplace. The three sumptuous bedrooms have four-poster queen beds. At the Claddagh Restaurant ($$$), with its extensive wine list and plush interior, the venison and seafood chowder are always delicious. Dining reservations are essential, and Claddagh is open Tuesday-Saturday.
