The Ale House Bar & Restaurant Review
A rugged interior with heavy wood furniture, old brewing equipment, and a huge schist fireplace makes the Speight's brewery restaurant welcoming. Its hub, naturally, is the bar. The menu includes a "drunken" steak (steak marinated in dark, malty porter) and beer-battered fish. You also get recommendations for the best Speight's ale to match your meal. Several special seasonal beers are released each year; in the past, these have included Harvest (an apricot beer), Chocolate, and Samradh (a ginger-and-pimiento beer).
