Perched high on the edge of the rugged, wild Taramakau River, this restaurant and bar has blown into the area like a fresh blast off the Southern Ocean, with crisp clean flavors and good service. The menu, like most places on the coast, is based on local foods, but here they spin a contemporary twist. Whitebait is the signature dish but the rack of lamb with seasonal vegetables and the beef fillet are also treats. The coffee is still the best in town.
