The Free House Review
New on the Nelson scene this laid-back spot was an instant hit. Try some of Nelson's best crafted beers—the place isn't tied to any particular breweries. You can order in light meals or bring a takeout and eat with the locals out on the lawn—blankets provided. There's live music some nights, at other times maybe a poet or two. Check their Web site for upcoming gigs. The Free House is actually family-friendly in the evening hours.
