Copthorne Resort Solway Park Wairarapa Review

On 23 acres of landscaped grounds and gardens in the southern outskirts of Masterton, this is a large resort for a small town. The helpful staff and spacious rooms make this especially good if you're traveling with children. The restaurant ($$$-$$$$) has polished floors, an interesting, exposed timber ceiling and leather furniture; folding doors along the front open to a sunny deck. All-day dining and dinner is served every day. Local produce is popular: the grilled flat point fish served on polenta with sautéed spring onion, bacon, and a lemon-chive beurre blanc is a good choice.
