An intimate, family-run hotel with a genuinely friendly staff and an authentic Dutch-Caribbean atmosphere, this little place offers an excellent value for the money. The gabled mustard-yellow hotel is built around a central courtyard with a waterfall and wading pool. Eagle Beach is right across the road (guests can have lunch served on the beach). The pool bar is buzzing late into the night, and Filo, the bartender, keeps everyone entertained. Tile-floor rooms range from small, simple studios (some with ocean-view balconies) to two-bedroom suites with peaked ceilings and whirlpool tubs; all have kitchenettes. The restaurant serves good, reasonably priced meals. Use of a bank of Internet-connected computers near the reception area is free.
