Aruba is 2 1/2 hours from Miami and 4 1/2 hours from New York. There are nonstop flights from Atlanta, Boston, Charlotte, Chicago, Houston, Miami, Newark, New York-JFK, Philadelphia, and Washington, DC-Dulles, though not all flights are daily. You can also fly nonstop from Amsterdam. Smaller airlines provide connecting flights to and from other Dutch Caribbean islands, making day trips possible, though expensive.
