Baker's Bay Golf & Ocean Club Review

At the northwestern end of the island you'll find Baker's Bay Golf & Ocean Club. This private resort and golf community includes a 158-slip marina and Tom Fazio golf course—but you have to be a member to play a round here.

The Baker's Bay resort has more than 6 mi of beachfront that will include 240 homesites. Within the marina village there are two restaurants—one casual, the other upscale—that are open to members and the public. The vast property also includes a gym, pool, and stunning beach that are available only to owners, transient renters, and overnight marina guests. The next stage of development, set for completion in 2012, will include a marina day spa, customs and immigration check point, a post office, and general store. Most of the project will be private, but portions of the marina and other facilities are open to the public.
