Howard Johnson Plaza Hotel & Casino Review
Everything the city has to offer is at your doorstep at this colorful hotel on the main square of Otrobanda, an especially coveted location during the holidays and Carnival. At other times, despite the lack of beachfront, it's an acceptable choice for those on a budget, since you can jump into the pool to cool off or jump onto a bus to head out for a day at the shore; there's even an on-site casino. Despite uninspiring decor, rooms are light-filled and well equipped with hair dryers and irons, and you can request a coffeemaker or refrigerator. For the best view, ask for a room facing the Santa Anna Bay.
