This hotel's street-level entrance and lobby are in an old stone fort, cannons and all. Perched on a cliff south of Roseau, the inn has ample, modern rooms with balconies that have either limited or full views of the ocean. The spacious bathrooms have granite vanities. All of this is overseen by a very friendly and helpful staff. An attached boardwalk has a variety of shops, including a few duty-frees. Try the Waterfront Restaurant, which is one of the island's most upscale and romantic dining spots. Other amenities include a spa, a gym, and a tour desk offering activitivies like diving, snorkeling, whale-watching, and a kids program.
