Gran Bahia Principe Punta Cana

Fodor's Review:

A huge property -- you have to be shuttled to the beach and the buffet -- there is an impersonal feel here, but guests don't seem to mind (this Spanish hotel group is opening four new resorts in the Samana peninsula). This resort's top tier is the Royal Golden, which has the best beach location but is too far from everthing else; the Diamond service is the better option. All accommodations are the same, but in the clubs, you can request a sea view. In the Caribbean village replica, you will find shops, à la carte restaurants, and the disco which cranks up around 1 AM. Well managed, with many international staffers, another plus is that there's international liquor.
