A man's home is his castle. In this one, Doug Beers prepares creative lunches and dinners for guests who traverse the rocky driveway to enjoy this one-of-a-kind experience. His wife, Marguerite, is the gracious hostess, who shows patrons their home and the artwork strategically positioned between the many open-air arches. Served on antique lace tablecloths strewn with bougainvillea, the well-orchestrated dinner might consist of canapés, carrot-ginger soup, salad niçoise, snapper with a coconut-passion fruit sauce, rosemary potatoes, chocolate mousse and coffee. After, Doug lights a fire in the great room and offers guests a liqueur to warm their interior.

The Castle Club offered an excellent dining experience, the poisson was just right. Doug and Marguerite make you feel at ease in this charming setting. Will return again in October.
