Natura Cabanas

Fodor's Review:

This oceanfront ecoparadise, which offers accommodations in thatched-roof cabanas, has grown up. Bungalows, such as the Africana, are more sophisticated with bamboo, artistic brick, and stonework. The diverse clientele enhances this back-to-nature experience; you might find yourself next to a surfer, a young neurologist, or a yoga aficionado. Lole, the dueña, and her caring, bilingual staff promote camaraderie. Healthful breakfasts and lunches are served in one of the two waterfront restaurants, where the mellow music is the backdrop for backgammon and conversation. At night, the seafood restaurant woos diners. The artistically designed Attabeyra Spa, is completely individualistic, and has services like chocolate wraps. The splendid new yoga pavilion is a palacio: it is the oceanfront setting for classes, retreats, and weddings. Tip: there's a special discount for cash.
