$-$$, Punta Cana
Fodor's Review:
You can feel good about being here as you dine on meals made from wholesome, all-natural ingredients. Carved from a former coconut plantation in 1997, the resort retains a mangrove forest and a natural lake. The ecosensitive architecture incorporated the cut cane, coco palms, local wood, and unearthed stones into the furniture, walkways, and footbridges. Buildings occupy only 10% of the property; the beach is rather small. This resort appeals to a niche group, one that prefers low-key, if any, animation. A loft area above the lobby is the designated reading room. Give your body a treat, and take it to the Health Center and Beauty Farm.
