Arturo Fuente Cigar Club Review

Since its striking renovations were completed, this club has been the big buzz in Santo Domingo. The incredibly imaginative interior design was created by five of the city's leading designers. There is an atmospheric lounge with a bar, where you can enjoy fine wines, light fare, aged rum, and Dominican coffee. Next to it is a small anteroom with lockers for members. Photos of the club's co-owner Carlos Fuente Jr. and other family members add interest. Guys come for male bonding and to watch sports on the widest TV screen in the main bar. On some nights, the hip co-owner Ciro takes to the piano. This cigar club is one of the only places in the country where you can buy authentic Arturo Fuentes cigars; its retail shop has a walk-in humidor, and the aroma of fine tobacco fills the air. The club is open weekdays from 9 am to midnight, and from 9 am to 3 am on Saturday. (And yes, it is open to the public, but one must dress appropriately.) On occasional special evenings, members are given priority.
