When to Go

Any time is the right time to go to Santo Domingo. It is a destination for all seasons, and its warm but temperate climate is only a few degrees cooler in the winter months. Although it gets its share of rainfall during the rainy season, from September through November, that does not matter as much here as it does in a beach destination. One can just go by taxi from hotel to shop to restaurant—no problem. In addition, hotel rates are traditionally the same year-round.
