EZE Bar & Restaurant Review

This little place, at the far end of the beach, doesn't look like much, but it has an intensely loyal following, from wallet-watching windsurfers to wealthy capitaleño families. Menu names, which reflect the jargon of the surfers who frequent the place, include Bluebird's Salad (chicken tenders over mixed greens with a sweet chili salsa), the EZE Club Dude (curried grilled chicken), and the Rocker (grilled, marinated beef with onions, peppers, tomato, and tzitiki on a soft pita). You can get an energy kick from yogurt-and-mango smoothies. Fresh squeezed juices have morphed into some of the most interesting, frosty, tropical cocktails. The blenders also churn out healthful, organic vegetable drinks. Conversely, if you need a bacon-cheeseburger fix, this is the place. EZE is an extremely family- and dog-friendly place; there's an extensive children's menu and lots of kids' beach toys and furniture.

    EZE Bar and Restaurant Review

    Fodor's- please double check/revisit. Ate here Jun 21 2011 after reading review in fodor's DR book. Terrible. Menu doesnt seem to match Fodor's review. Burger was microwaved, as were nachos. Never had a microwaved burger before, never want to again either (disgusting). Chips for nachos were an equivalent of a ball game style chip, worse after being microwaved too. Owner was in attendance, more interested in sitting in sand watching kite boarders than running his restaurant, didn't care when he saw us leave with 3/4 of the food on the plates. I am quite forgiving and love the DR and its food offerings, but this place's food was disgusting. $30 for beer, coke, burger, & nachos.
