Hotel La Catalina Review

Although you're far above a beach here (a 4-mile, five-minute drive), you're also far from the maddening crowd yet still have the panoramic view. Owner Tim Moller communicates equally as well with his guests as he does with his local staff. Reception is more like a boutique, where handsome jewelry and crafts, which were made by the courteous, long-term employees, are sold. Airport transfers are included with a week's stay, as is a beach shuttle. Massages and pedicures can be arranged on-site. The property is split between condos on one half and hotel rooms on the other. The hotel rooms are cheaper, but not as nice. Stick to the condos.

    Hotel La Catalina Review

    We recently stayed at Hotel La Catalina and were thoroughly impressed. The ocean view from the restaurant is just incredible. Their staff is warm and friendly. We took a two hour horseback riding excursion with Rancho Paraiso and they picked us up on horseback right at the hotel. It was awesome, and we went back two days later for a 3 hour tour! Beautiful horses and great English-speaking guides. The grounds of the hotel are immaculate, and we loved sitting at the bar having a drink while we watched the sun set over the ocean. We'll definitely be back. The owner is always present checking on how you are doing.
