North Coast Nightlife

Ocean World Casino Review

Slightly bigger than the other casinos on the North Coast and a touch flashier, Ocean World Casino is somehow more wholesome, too. It's still small by Vegas standards, housed entirely in just one big, circular room with the casino basics: a Texas Hold 'Em table (there are tournaments Saturdays at 7 pm), slots, roulette, and blackjack. The casino rolls and shuffles until 3 am, and it claims to have the loosest slots on the island. The complex has a sense of humor, what with the whimsical furnishings designed to look like marine creatures (including the Octopus Bar). What sets Ocean World apart is the array of things to do besides gamble: a nocturnal tour of the complex can include a sunset happy hour at the Lighthouse Lounge, dinner at Poseidón, and then a Las Vegas-style review, Bravissimo. If you want the night to continue, go on up to the Lighthouse Disco (there's karaoke, too).
