Hiking in Grenada

Grand Étang National Park & Forest Reserve. Mountain trails wind through Grand Étang National Park & Forest Reserve; if you're lucky, you may spot a Mona monkey or some exotic birds on your hike. There are trails for all levels—from a self-guided nature trail around Grand Étang Lake to a demanding one through the bush to the peak of Mt. Qua Qua (2,373 feet) or a real trek up Mt. St. Catherine (2,757 feet). Long pants and hiking shoes are recommended. Expect to pay $25 per person for a four-hour guided hike up Mt. Telfor Bedeau, Hiking Guide. Over the years Telfor Bedeau has walked up, down, or across nearly every mountain, trail, and pathway on the island. He first began hiking at age 23. That was in 1962.
