Casino de St-François Review

The small Casino de St-François has a contemporary élan that makes you want to dress up and come on out. There's a dramatic water installation, leather furniture, and an appealing restaurant, Le Joker (à la carte, or €20 prix fixe with wine), with a bar and a stage for performers, which also doubles as a disco on Friday and Saturday, with a DJ till 3 am. The lighting, installed by Martinique's MPA architectural firm, can project multiple colors, depending on the desired mood. It is truly a handsome showplace, and there are more than 70 slots, as well as American roulette and gaming tables for baccarat, blackjack, craps, and more. A calendar of events includes dance lessons, and such holiday celebrations as Christmas and Valentine's Day. Make reservations well in advance for New Year's Eve.
