Casino Batelière Plaza Review

On the outskirts of Fort-de-France, the classy Casino Batelière Plaza is built in a striking nouveau-plantation-house style, all yellow and white. It has slot machines, video poker, and table games like Texas hold 'em, blackjack, stud poker, and American roulette. Slots open at 10 am, but table games don't start until after 8 pm. There's always a bar open, and you can often catch live entertainment on weekends from 8-midnight. Closing time is 4 am on Friday and Saturday, 3 am the rest of the week. It's open Sunday night, when most places are shut tight. Restaurant Le Club Seven, which serves Franco-creole food, is open from noon until 2:30 then from 7:30 to midnight. You may see billboards that say: CASINO or even GEANTE CASINO, with directionals. Do not follow them if you are looking for a gambling casino. CASINO is the name of a supermarket chain. GEANTE means a megasupermarket.
