Steps Review
A set of concrete steps sitting mysteriously at the water's edge gives this beach its name. The waves, breaking on a shallow reef, can get huge. On a calm day, the snorkeling here is wonderful. This is also a good place to find sea glass. It's hard to find—look for the turnoff at a whale-shaped sign indicating "Playa Escalera."
