Designated the island's first "agro-tourism" inn, Hacienda El Jibarito is an attractive parador hidden in the mountains of San Sebastian. It's wildly popular among locals but is virtually unknown to visitors (at least for now). Accommodations are private cabins, equipped with air-conditioning, televisions, coffeemakers, and other basic amenities. Most cabins have at least one porch, decked out with a hammock and/or rocking chairs. When you feel like being around other people, you can take advantage of the indoor and outdoor pools and Jacuzzi. El Jibarito also offers massage services, horseback-riding tours, and coffee-roasting demonstrations. Restaurant Laurnaga, on-site, serves excellent meals, its menu inspired by traditional Puerto Rican favorites.
