Carambola

Carambola Review

It's hard to imagine a more romantic setting than this dining room with unbeatable views of the ocean. Indoors is a long wooden table, surrounded by chairs upholstered in a delectable shade of chocolate brown. Through the open doors are smaller tables scattered around the open-air terrace. The service is formal, and so are the meals. The former five- or seven-course set meals have been replaced by an à la carte menu featuring such main courses as lamb chops with a lentil balsamic salad or the mofongo special with jumbo shrimps. In low season, dining is sometimes restricted to the less elegant terrace.
