Dawn II. A 65-foot aluminum vessel that holds 50 people, the Dawn II runs on Tuesday, Thursday, and Saturday between Philipsburg and Fort Bay. It leaves Saba at 7 am, arriving at St. Maarten at 9 am, and departs St. Maarten at 5 pm, arriving at Fort Bay at 7 pm. The one-way fare from St. Maarten to Saba is $48 plaus a $7 harbor fee; the opposite direction is $45 plus a $5 harbor fee. The Edge. This high-speed ferry leaves St. Maarten's Pelican Marina in Simpson Bay for Fort Bay on Saba every Wednesday through Sunday at 9 am (check in for the trip an hour before). It departs for the return trip about 3:30 pm. The trip, which can be rough, takes just over an hour each way. Round-trip fare is $80 per person for a Saba day trip, plus a $12 port fee, and 5% extra if you pay by credit card. One-way tickets are $55 plus applicable port fees.
