St. Lucia Golf & Country Club (Cap Estate. 758/452-8523. www.stluciagolf.com), the only public course, is at the island's northern tip and offers panoramic views of both the Atlantic and Caribbean. It's an 18-hole championship course (6,829 yards, par 71). The clubhouse has a bar and a pro shop where you can rent clubs and shoes and arrange lessons. Greens fees are $70 for 9 holes or $95 for 18 holes; carts are required and included; club and shoe rentals are available. Reservations are essential. Complimentary transportation from your hotel or cruise ship is provided for parties of three or more people. The St. Lucia Golf Open, a two-day tournament held in March, is open to amateurs; it's a handicap event, and prizes are awarded.
