Cap Maison Review

This luxurious group of villas on a seaside bluff overlooking Smugglers Cove has 22 units that can be configured as up to 49 rooms, junior suites, and oversize one-, two-, or three-bedroom villa suites. The Ocean View Grand Villa suites, for example, measure 3,000 square feet. The elegant Spanish Caribbean architecture features wooden jalousie doors and windows, terra-cotta roof tiles, large private balconies, and large roof terraces—nine of which have their own private plunge pool. A large infinity pool at the edge of the bluff and a smaller pool are available to everyone. Truly luxurious service includes no formal check-in, an unpacking service upon request, an honor bar, and a personal butler for any little needs and requests that may come up—including arranging a romantic dinner, prepared and served in your suite by one of the resort's chefs. French Caribbean cuisine at the resort's cliff-top restaurant, Cliff at Cap, is another option. For extra pampering, there's a full-service spa and a calming Zen garden. Because the resort is on a seaside cliff, getting down to the beach, a secluded crescent of sand, requires hiking down (and back up) 62 steps. The resort also has a 46-foot, 15-passenger powerboat to take guests on day trips to Soufrière or nearby Martinique or on honeymoon cruises.
