Blue Pelican Review
The 13 modern and chic apartment units hidden in this private enclave in Pelican Key were built by the owners of Hotel L'Esplanade and Le Petit Hotel on the French side and share the French management's vision, graciousness, obsessive attention to detail, and concern for the comfort and safety of their guests. The immaculate units share a shady, zen-like pool, and each has a large balcony. Bedrooms are loft-style, upstairs, with comfortable king beds. The location is great for exploring, although you have to walk five minutes to the nearest beaches. Beautiful granite and stainless kitchens make it easy to fix breakfast, and there is a small market nearby for emergencies, but you're generally better off resisting the exorbitant prices there and instead head to the Garden Market. Families and the "carry-on" crowd love the convenient washers and dryers in each apartment. There is nothing as nice as this anywhere in the area.
