Buccament Bay Resort Review

This luxury villa community, by far the largest resort in St. Vincent, is on a pretty bay about a half-hour drive northwest of Kingstown. The beautifully designed and elegantly furnished one-, two-, or four-bedroom villas are privately owned but available to vacationers. They are modern, one-story bungalows with vaulted ceilings, sophisticated espresso-and-ivory decor, and elegantly appointed bathrooms. Wooden shutters open onto a deck with a plunge pool. The units have stocked fridges and coffee machines but do not have kitchens; guests dine at the resort's eight restaurants. A layer of imported white sand covers the natural black-sand beach to make it more appealing to beachgoers. You can also enjoy the double infinity pool, a fitness center, a spa offering indoor or outdoor massages, scuba diving, daytime excursions on land or sea, and a library of DVDs, video games, books, and board games. A kids' club provides supervised day care with age-appropriate activities. Or choose professional performing-arts, tennis, and soccer instruction—and pickup soccer games with staff and local kids—for adults and children alike.

My GF & I decided to take a week & spend some time on Bequia, more specifically the Moonhole 'compound' after I read an article about Tom Johnston in (I believe) the NYTimes travel section. Read more
