Ferry Travel

A one-way trip between St. Vincent and Bequia takes 60 minutes and costs $8 (EC$20) each way or $14 (EC$35) round-trip with the same ferry company.

Jaden Sun. This ferry's reliable, comfortable service goes between mainland St. Vincent and Bequia (25 minutes), Canouan (1½ hours), and Union islands (2 hours), with an "as needed" stop in Mayreau. There is no service on Tues., Wed. afternoons, or public holidays or on Sat. in the low season. The one-way fare between Kingstown and Bequia is $12; between Kingstown and Canouan, $25; between Kingstown and Union, $28. 784/451-2192. www.jadeninc.com.

M/V Barracuda. The interisland ferry M/V Barracuda , also known as "the mail boat," operates twice weekly. It leaves St. Vincent on Monday and Thursday mornings, stopping in Canouan, Mayreau, and Union Island. It makes the return trip Tuesday and Friday. On Saturday, it does a round-trip from St. Vincent to each island, returning the same day. 784/527-6135.

M/V Gem Star. This boat takes passengers from Kingstown to Canouan and Union on Tuesday and Friday mornings, returning early Wednesday and Saturday mornings. 784/526-1158.
