Staying at this true B&B, one of just a few in all the Turks and Caicos, gives you a feel for the way the Caribbean used to be, without requiring you to give up comfort. Sleepy, quiet, and charming, it does feel like a home away from home, but with a better view, given its prime Front Street location. The home is updated with all the modern conveniences, including air-conditioning, satellite TV, and luxury colonial-style furnishings; each suite has a full kitchen with two TVs and a DVD player. A huge sundeck on the rooftop faces the stunning water. You're given a menu at check-in, you pick what you want for breakfast and when, and it's brought to your room daily. You can easily stroll back and forth to Front Street, with its excellent restaurants and watering holes, to listen to musicians play and to hear (and tell) tall tales. Staying here, you will certainly meet and mingle with the locals, so when you come back, you'll feel as if you are returning home, just as other guests do who return year after year.
