You can eat indoors surrounded by giant, painted banana-leaf murals of camouflaged geckos or out on the garden patio, where the trees are interwoven with tiny twinkling lights. Creative "Floribbean" fare combines native specialties with exotic fruits and zesty island spices and includes Black Angus steaks grilled to perfection. Pecan-encrusted grouper is a longtime menu favorite.

Don't bother

Food is marginal. Had a pizza appetizer that had been highly recommended, but was so greasy it was barely palatable. Pasta was overcooked and flavorless. Very expensive for what you get. There are better restaurants, don't waste your time on this one.

Nice dinner spoiled by inconsiderate people

November 2005 - Gecko Grill at Ocean Club. Dinner was good, the food was nothing to rave or complain about. Service was excellent and can't be faulted.
We chose Gecko because we were staying at Ocean Club and didn't want to make a big production of going out to dinner.
It's amazing how your dining experience can be ruined by your fellow diners. We ate outside on the patio and there was a family unit (grandparents, parents and 3 children) who made a spectacle of themselves. They all spoke at ear splitting volume, they encouraged the children to leave the table and run around PLUS the grandmother played ring around the rosie with them while they were waiting for dessert! Granted we were outside, but the patio (filled with other diners) wasn't their personal playground. It was quite annoying but not the restaurants fault.
