Maria Gail Review
The Romanesque parish church here has an unusually fine 14th-century Gothic winged triptych altarpiece. To get to Maria Gail, 15 km (9 mi) west of Velden, take Villacher Strasse, Route 83, out of Velden. If you're heading on to Faaker See, you'll pass, several miles beyond Maria Gail, one of the most famous roadside shrines in Austria: framed by lake and mountain, it's a great photo op.
