Near the Stift Ossiach, this pretty chalet serves some of the freshest fish you're likely to find in Austria. Caught in the restaurant's own pond, the rainbow trout and char are grilled or breaded and fried, making a memorable meal, especially if the weather is fine and you're sitting on the terrace overlooking the lake. Even though the selection of meat entrées is limited, the sirloin steaks and pork medallions are top quality and should be washed down with a pint of Villacher beer. To satisfy your sweet tooth, try Topfencreme (Austrian-style ricotta cream) with fresh berries.
