Schloss Bruck

Schloss Bruck Review

A massive tower looms over Schloss Bruck, a battlemented residential castle that dates from 1280 and now serves as the city museum. The remarkably well-preserved castle also has a Romanesque chapel with a late 15th-century ceiling and wall frescoes. Works by Egger-Lienz and Franz Defregger (1835-1921), another Tirolean painter, are displayed here, along with Celtic and Roman relics from nearby excavations.
