Alpengasthof Tauernhaus Review

There's plenty of peace and quiet at this rustic Gasthof about 14 km (9 mi) up the Tauern Valley. The hotel began as a rest house, founded in 1207 by the archbishops of Salzburg. Frequently visited by tour groups, it can be a bit loud, but it's a good starting point for hiking and skiing. The food served in the restaurant is home cooking at its best, especially the fresh trout.
