$-$$$, Austrian, Innsbruck
Fodor's Review:
The Café Sacher's celebrated Sachertorte can now be savored in Innsbruck, in a turn-of-the-last-century, plushy atmosphere reflecting the original Sacher in Vienna. This oh-so-Austrian chocolate layer cake is not the only draw -- coffee and sweets are scrumptious, and the full menu includes Eduard Sacher's original recipes for Tafelspitz (prime boiled beef) and Backhendl "Anna Sacher" (Viennese fried chicken). This is a good choice following a show at the nearby Kongresshaus (Congress Innsbruck) or Tiroler Landestheater, but expect higher than average prices. In summer the garden courtyard is yet another temptation.
