You'll have to knock to be admitted, but once inside you'll find elegantly set tables in this atmospheric 15th-century house. It's not only worth seeing, but also worth the trip so you can enjoy real local meals. Frau Brandstätter presides over a kitchen that turns out good-size portions of excellent Austrian and regional dishes. You might be offered game (in season) or roast lamb, always prepared with a light touch. Fish fresh from the lake is a regular specialty. During the winter seafood is another possibility.
