Charmingly homey and cozy, this corner Gasthaus is on the main street of tiny Langenlebarn, close to Tulln. Josef Floh, the young and creative chef, trained at top restaurants in the Salzkammergut and Tirol before setting up his own establishment. You're in luck if you're here in spring, when you can enjoy Tullnerfeld asparagus dressed with local organic melted butter and Parmesan. For a heartier dish, try the perfectly grilled beef with light, creamy, semolina dumplings. Round off the meal with homemade sorbets, pancake delights, or cheese from Vorarlberg, together with light Austrian wines from the area.
